cancellation policy

Cancellation:-


(Walking & Drop-Ins)  You may cancel your booked slot provided you give a minimum of 24-hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk commencing, a cancellation fee at 50% of the service price will be charged.


(Boarding & Sitting)  I require a minimum of four-days notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the stay payable and your deposit is non-refundable. Once boarding or sitting commences, full payment is required by midnight of the penultimate night (unless prior arrangements agreed).


No- Show policy:-

In the event that the client fails to provide any cancellation notice and the dog walker arrives at the scheduled time but cannot access the premises, find the dog(s) to be walked or owner states the walk is no longer required en route or at premises- a no-show fee will be charged. The no-show fee is the full price of the services and compensates the Business for the time and effort wasted due to the client's failure to cancel or reschedule.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Barking Beans agrees to provide a high quality level of service to the client and perform the agreed services in an attentive, caring and reliable manner.
  2. All dogs are subject to an initial meet and greet by Athene Cook prior to using Barking Beans services.
  3. Barking Beans has a zero tolerance toward abusive or threatening behaviour and reserves the right to deny owner access to services due to the result of these behaviours. Barking Beans holds the right to hold any pre-paid funds due to abusive and/or threatening behaviour.
  4. Owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments and de-wormer treatments.  For dogs participating in group walks, owner will be required to provide proof of vaccinations (including kennel cough) prior to service commencing. 
  5. All kennel cough vaccines must be administered at least one week before participating in any group walks. 
  6. Owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking or home boarding; including behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour; including aggression, incontinence or lack of house training and excessive loud barking or whining. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render owner’s dog unsuitable for walking or home boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement. 
  7. Barking Beans accepts no liability for any dog that may cause harm to a person or another dog or damage to property, or for any injury the dog may sustain in the care of Barking Beans whether as a result of any accident the dog may be involved in, or otherwise. 
  8. Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked. Owner is financially responsible for any loss or damage to property whilst your dog is boarding. The Dog Walker is not held accountable for vet fees or whilst your dog is in our care.
  9. In the event of extreme weather conditions, such as extreme heat, torrential rain, floods or severe winds the Business reserves the right to cancel or reschedule dog walking services for the safety and well-being of both the dog walker and the dogs. No cancellation fees will be applied in such cases. If transportation to clients address is possible drop-in services will be offered as an alternative to ensure pets are not left alone for long periods of time. Fee's will not be changed to drop-in rates but remain the rate of the original service.
  10. In extreme circumstances Barking Beans reserves the right to terminate a service at any point.
  11. Barking Beans is covered by third party liability insurance, but it is highly recommended that the client takes out their own third-party pet insurance. 
  12. Dogs will only be walked if wearing a collar with an identity tag and have a lead. The client agrees that dogs will be walked on the lead and only walked off-lead after signed consent is provided by the client on the booking form provided by Barking Beans. Barking Beans accepts no liability for any loss or mishap which may befall a dog due to poor recall or otherwise.
  13. Emergencies: In the event of an emergency the client authorises Barking Beans to take their dog to a vet. Barking Beans will endeavour to notify the client of any emergency that may require veterinary intervention. If Barking Beans is unable to contact the client, the client authorises Barking Beans to take the dog to the vet and the client will meet any resulting veterinary bills.
  14. The Client agrees that, by signing the key holder waiver form, this will indemnify Barking Beans in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present or future circumstances. 
  15. Barking Beans will accept payment by Bank (at least 24 hours in advance) or in Cash (left in your home on the day) by agreement prior to the service commencing.
  16. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
